This one has learned never to underestimate people having fun.

History suggests they are capable of almost anything.

Meanwhile, this one's family thoroughly enjoyed the islands.

The beaches were beautiful.

Crystal waters surrounded volcanic landscapes.

This one's daughter spent an entire afternoon collecting shells and attempting to convince local crabs to join her crew.

The negotiations were unsuccessful.

This one's wife explored gardens and marketplaces while exchanging stories with local residents.

At sunset, we climbed a hillside overlooking the sea.

As the sky turned orange and gold, the islands seemed almost magical.

The child declared Comoros to be:

"A fairy island."

This one believes she may be correct.

What impressed this one most was not any building, project, or grand ambition.

It was the community.
