I can't stop thinking about how GREAT the meme era of the first 10's was.

This was a very well-known meme, showing the rapper Xzibit smiling while the caption said:

At that time, MTV wasn't the shitshow it actually is, and they had really good shows, like 'Pimp my Ride' where Xzibit actually pimped some rides. DO you like BBQ? Xzibit pimped your car putting a barbecue in it. DO you want to be a musician? Xzibit pimped your car putting a studio recording technics in it.

And this was the origin of the well know meme 'Yo Dawg', who entered the then so-called internet subculture that deep that we have notable examples like this:

We mentioned MTV, so now, we go a bit back in the time to show you one of the MOST EPIC moments on the entire MTV history.

That time, when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Taylor was awarded with the 'Best Video of 2009', but Kanye wasn't having it.

By then, Kanye was in a relationship with Beyoncé and in 2009 she dropped 'All the Single Ladies'. Kanye thought it was not fair, so he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech by grabbing the microphone and saying:

"Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, Imma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!"

The awkward live-TV moment instantly became one of the internet's most enduring memes, with the phrase reused whenever someone jokingly interrupts another person to declare a different opinion as the "real" best choice.

Oh, and it has to be said, Taylor Swift's career basically started there. As Kanye said in a song: "I made that bitch famous".
