After long discussions, diplomatic meetings, and strategic consultations, it has been decided that our two states will enter into a military alliance — not out of hatred toward other nations, but from the desire to protect our peoples, secure our borders, and strengthen our influence in West Africa.

For too long, African nations have been kept divided, economically weakened, or politically turned against one another. But that era now comes to an end.

The new alliance between Gambia and Mali is built upon three fundamental pillars:

Military training and technological cooperation

Economic expansion through secure trade routes and stability
