The House of Cards

While the great powers exploit their vast territories to stack industry upon industry and grow their wealth beyond measure, the new nations are left with nothing. Massive alliances, coordinated attacks, equipment and money without end, no matter how much has already been burned.

Apparently, any means will do.

What they forget: size breeds complacency. And systems that only function through oppression and questionable methods have an expiration date.
History is full of empires that seemed invincible. Rome controlled half the known world – and fell. The Mongol Empire stretched across continents – and collapsed from within. The British Empire ruled a quarter of the earth – and dissolved, piece by piece, under the pressure of those who never accepted it. No empire, however powerful, has ever defeated time. Not one.

Like waves eroding the coastline stone by stone, the coming revolutions will wear the great powers down. Slowly but unstoppably.

To all rising nations whose home provinces are under siege, fighting against overwhelming odds, deciding every day whether it’s still worth it: hold on.

This fight is a marathon – but empires fall. They always do. History has proven it, and it will prove it again!
