India is a large country, with troubled diplomacy with 5 of its 8 neighbours. Pakistan and China ranks the top two positions in this 5. People think it's mostly because of the British who divided the Indian region based on religion. What if they didn't come at all? Would we be able to see a North-west India living happily with the rest of India? It's a huge lie if someone says Indians and Pakistanis love each other. Warera keeps logs of all the turd throws and here's what I think .
The 1947 partition did the division. The Indo-Pak war added momentum to it. I won't be talking about those, since the past hate can't be corrected. We shall focus on what we can change.
Currently, Indians and Pakistanis have a lot of points to hate with each other.
Religion: Hindus are always in disagreement with Muslims because of mutual insecurity.
Cricket: The politics fuel big audiences from both nations, easily exploited by broadcasting industry.
Presentations in international conferences: mostly politician appointed representative diplomats from both nations put on a show and make headlines in their own newspaper to benefit the ruling party.
Fasc!sts of their own lands: Political leaders who exhibit extreme nationalist views over the actual problems find it easy to get more attention and votes.
Social media: Audiences from Reddit, Warera and Instagram showcases their hate with slurs which are rarely moderated by the platform. Most of the time, the slurs called on Pakistanis almost hurt other muslims of India because of the demographic mix there. Whereas, the slurs called on Indians feel like name calling based on a stereotype the international racists have set, to call anyone in the subcontinent.
The GenZ of both nations are promising. It's always some bad seeds in both countries causing 80% of the problems. GenZ, who can hedge the religious grip on their thoughts, who think that the bad political leadership is ruining their own country, who cares about the fellow humans in the same landmass they share will always think that this situation should end. But the political leadership just have to do a conflict across the border to suppress the progressive minds with hate votes.
If you check the battle chats in all the India x Pakistan battles in Warera, including the recent ones in Dravida, Gujarat, etc the players who engage in fights with each other comprises of a few 6-7 users of both sides. The game would be very pleasant if those weren't here.
The hate doesn't hold back in the chats. They make sure the worst insult is made and sometimes, they delete the chats fearing a ban. Not because of they care whether the other guy is hurt, but we can't expect an express moderation in a lightweight ad-less free online game. The players fueled by hate stays and the ones who think this is helpless leaves.
