Issue Number 8 of The Irish Cassette is here, and it is that time of the month again. Presidential elections are upon us.
As of 2pm today, seven candidates have thrown their hats into the ring. This list is current as of the time of writing, but there are still 11 hours left for candidates to enter. So expect this field to potentially grow before the deadline closes.
Here is the full list of candidates currently running, along with their party affiliations.

Quick Breakdown
People For Profit has put forward three candidates: IrishHound, sds1, and the current president DempC, who is seeking a second term.
Tuath na dTonnta has two candidates in the race: CharlieNaughty and KyleTheTank, the former president who returned from Kuwait to run again.
The United People of Ireland Party has put forward RevanEire.
The Independents of Ireland Party is represented by TheFatican, the founder of this newspaper.
A Competitive Field

DempC is running on his record as the current president, seeking a second term to continue the work he started. KyleTheTank is back after his time in Kuwait, running on a platform of returning to the hot seat and pushing Ireland forward. The rest of the field offers a mix of familiar faces and newer names, each with their own take on where Ireland should go next.
