Issue Number 12 of The Irish Cassette is here, and it has been a massive week for Ireland.
An agreement has been reached with the Government of the United Kingdom for the transfer of Northern Ireland into the Irish Republic. The full announcement is available to read in game, signed by President RevanEire and the entire cabinet. The vote in the Dáil was unanimous.
The North has been a goal of this community for as long as anyone can remember. It was a talking point, a rallying cry, and for many, a dream. Now it is a reality.
Credit where it is due. This happened under RevanEire's term. The negotiations, the deal, and the vote all came together on his watch. Thank you, Mr President.
The president has also unveiled the new Cybersecurity department. This new division deals with updating, maintaining, and adding new tools for the community to use. It is led by shmoke_n_shniff, with TheCraicen and PintmanPaddyLosty in assist. This is a welcome development for Ireland and will help keep our community tools sharp and useful.
Two congressional proposals were posted today, and the president has announced that there will be a referendum on the future of Ireland. RevanEire addressed the nation this evening to explain the decision and confirm that congress voted unanimously to put the choice in the hands of the people. He also confirmed he will be abstaining from the vote.

I cannot say much about this next part. In fact, I probably should not say anything at all. But there are whispers. Talk of movement. Talk of the battlefront, and what it might hold for Ireland in the near future.
