The Last Pegans.

The Sacred places in Pagan Lithuania were called "Alkai" - sacred Groves usually located on hills, near rivers, springs or in deep old woods. Interference in these places were strictly forbidden.

The Sacred trees - Old Oaks were considered a pillar for the god Perkūnas(God of thunder and justice) and Linden trees were dedicated to Laima (Goddess of faith).

Hunting was prohibited in the Groves, Lithuanian Pagans also had rules on hunting when animals reared their young. (Kind of cool, we cared about the future of our own from the very beginning)

And lets not forget the Eternal Flame and the keepers of the Flame Vaidilutės (Priestesses who dedicated their life to keep the Flame alive). Eternal Flame - you can figure it out by the name - in the middle of Alkas stood a stone altar where the eternal flame burned symbolizing the life, purity and connection between mortals and gods.
