Let’s be clear. The character some have come to see or know, Pestie, the cocaine-fueled economist whose primary objectives are market dominance and tries to seduce every female character he meets, is a role. Pestie is a complete escape from my actual life. He is a character I created to see how far I can push the limits of a strategy game. He is not "Me." I come here to escape the predictable, repetitive failures of the real world. If you can’t tell the difference between a player and the character they are playing, you’re missing the point of the game entirely.
Seeing people accuse one another of "racism" or using real-life political agendas to try and get ahead in a digital war is the ultimate sign of a weak mind. Bringing real life into a simulation like this is a total failure of imagination. It’s like trying to fuel a jet engine with mud. You’re taking a game built for smart strategy and clogging it with the same petty tribalism that makes the real world so frustrating. If you have to use your real life identity or "social justice" to win a trade war, you’ve already lost the battle of wits.
The world is already full of people who can’t see past their own skin color or their political party.
When you bring your personal grudges and "PC" politics here, you aren't being "brave." You’re just proving that you aren't creative enough to be anyone other than your everyday, average self. You are the "glitch" in this interesting digital world
If you want to fight about real-world issues, go to a town hall meeting. If you want to dive into a high-stakes, wild, and seductive world where we treat the game like the playground it was meant to be, then step up and play.
