THE MAPLE DISPATCH - Special Edition
"They took the ground. They did not take the country."
BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF CANADA & THE WORLD,
The war was short. Let no one pretend otherwise. In the span of a few days our borders were redrawn by hands that never worked this land, never built on it, never bled for it. Regions that carried our flag this morning carry another tonight.
Read that, feel it - and then read the next line.
Occupation is a status. It is not a verdict. Keep fighting for your land.
Every empire that has ever swallowed territory has learned the same lesson: land is easy to take and impossible to hold when the people on it refuse to kneel. Our factories may be under foreign management. Our citizens are not. Every worker still clocking in, every soldier still holding a weapon, every player who logs in tomorrow instead of walking away - that is the occupation failing in slow motion.
They planned for a war. They did not plan for a nation that treats defeat as an intermission.
We have been outnumbered before. We have been written off before. And the map has always been redrawn again - by us, on our terms, in our time.
Hold the line. Fill the ranks. Fund the war.
Canada is not occupied territory. Canada is a country waiting for its next move.
