The United Kingdom is regaining its territory, our player base is beginning to grow and this feels like the right time to discuss what the next stage for Britain should look like.
First, I want to be completely clear: the Forest Guard has been an excellent party for the United Kingdom.
Its members have led the country through repeated wars and occupations, maintained important diplomatic and defensive relationships, kept Britain organised during extremely difficult circumstances and helped give us the opportunity to recover.
They deserve genuine credit for everything they have done. This is not an attack on the Forest Guard, nor is it an attempt to dismiss the importance of defence.
Different situations call for different priorities. There are times when a strongly defensive party is exactly what the country needs. However, as Britain regains territory and begins attracting more players, I believe there is also a time for an economic party to take a larger role.
Our relatively small player base means that defensive policies alone cannot always guarantee our independence when we face countries with considerably more active players.
At the same time, the British Treasury currently depends heavily on donations when we need to fund important transfers and other national costs. Those donations have been vital, and everyone who has contributed deserves our thanks, but donations should strengthen our economy rather than being the main thing keeping it competitive.
Britain needs to build more income of its own.
We need policies that encourage production, make British companies more competitive, attract investment and workers and turn our growing player base into lasting economic strength.
A stronger economy would not replace defence. It would give the government and our allies more resources with which to defend the country. Prosperity and national security should support one another.
This is the role I want the United Kingdom Prosperity Party to grow into.
We will examine political ethics, taxes, production bonuses and Britain’s industries carefully rather than choosing policies simply because they sound good. The aim is to develop a practical economic strategy based on how the game actually works and what will produce the best results for the United Kingdom.
I also respect the British Farmers Party and every other British party trying to contribute. This is not about insulting another party or claiming that the UKPP is the only party that cares about the economy. It is about giving British players another option and showing what our party can deliver.
Since founding the UKPP, I have worked on recruitment both inside and outside War Era, organised community and UK-focused giveaways, published articles, helped bring more attention and activity to Britain and remained active every day.
Our first weekly community giveaway attracted 121 valid entries. The UKPP now has eight members and has already gained its first representative in Congress.
I am not asking people to judge us only by what we promise. I am asking them to look at what we have already started doing.
There is a time for strong defensive leadership, and the Forest Guard has filled that role extremely well. I believe Britain should now build upon that work with a stronger economic direction.
When the UKPP reaches 20 members, we will also hold our first dedicated party giveaway to celebrate the milestone.
