My journey here is very long. Just yesterday, I celebrated my one-year anniversary in WarEra. I’ve been playing since the alpha version, when there were only about 10–12 players. A very old and good friend of mine, https://app.warera.io/user/6813b751efecdf9bab194aab, invited me to join just to distract me a little and here we are.
I’ve always played https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81d since alpha. Never changed. I’ve seen empires rise and fall, alliances form and break, baby booms everywhere and serious arguments between the most powerful countries. But I’m still here and I will stay here.
https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81d has long been one of the most influential countries despite a small population. How would you describe https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81d’s early role in the game?
https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81d was one of the key countries in the early game. We were always few, but strong. We were part of major alliances such as CoS (https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac83c, https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac832, https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac82f, https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac868, https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac862, https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7b6, https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac8cb, https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac858, https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac835), Asian Federation 1.0, and later Ñ (Latin America,https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7a8, and https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7ae).
After Ñ fell, we formed what I still consider the best alliance we ever had withhttps://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac858, https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7ae, and Giga’s https://app.warera.io/country/6873d0ea1758b40e712b5f56. When Giga left the game, we went separate ways, but https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac858 and https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7ae remain close friends to this day.
https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81d's transition into a mercenary nation is one of the most unique developments in WarEra. How did that decision come about?
Indirectly, we created what became the Khanate of Chaos. One day (this is true) I was drunk and we attacked https://app.warera.io/country/683ddd2c24b5a2e114af15d7. Eris Nogareth (RIP), who had always been a friend, turned hostile after that.
We spent two months dealing with constant rebellions in https://app.warera.io/country/683ddd2c24b5a2e114af15d7, heavily supported by countries like https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7b8 and https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7a6. At one point, we were spending 4 million daily just to hold https://app.warera.io/country/683ddd2c24b5a2e114af15d7 and nearly lost the Pablo vs. Culo World War because of it.
That’s when https://app.warera.io/user/6817dd4c0aebee2e83ae91bc pushed us toward a path Heather (RIP) once mentioned to me: becoming mercenaries.
In November, in a single day, we sold all our territories, dissolved nearly all alliances, and became the Ronin Mercs. Our first contract was https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac835 vs. https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac832 for 0.6 gold. I had no idea what we were doing, but it was incredibly fun. From there, we never looked back.
What defines https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81d's role as a mercenary nation today?
As mercenaries, https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81d has only one goal: bounty.
We give smaller nations hope and provide larger ones with a decisive resource, for the right price. I’m incredibly proud of my Ronins. When https://app.warera.io/user/6813b758efecdf9bab195068added the bounty ranking, I told them: “In one week https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81dwill be first.” And we did it.
We reached 100,000 bounty gold very quickly, and our next target is 200,000. We compete internally every day. Right now, https://app.warera.io/user/6829380107c3bd8a261d82d9 is ranked first, but I’ll try to push him to second by the time this article is published.

https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81d recently won the Military Order Tournament. What gives your forces such consistency?
Coordination. Always.
That’s how we defeated much larger nations like https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7e2 or https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7f2 in the past. The tournaments are special for us, it’s when we return to the samurai era. We’ve participated in four tournaments, won three, and lost one final.
The last tournament wasn’t easy. Our toughest battles were against https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac79a's main MU in the semifinals and https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac829 in the final.
How do you maintain discipline and professionalism as mercenaries?
https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81d has only four country exceptions, we won’t work against them. Beyond that, we have internal rules for prioritizing contracts, all explained in a recent article I published.
We’re a multinational group. Everyone has personal exceptions, and I respect them. But one rule is absolute: we never change sides once we make a pact. We’re mercenaries, but professionals.
We aim to have clients in every major alliance. We want money, fun, and a chill playstyle. We leave geopolitics to others.
As a veteran, how do you view WarEra’s evolution over time?
When we started, there were no military units, no rankings, no daily missions, not even green bullets. I think almost every update has been positive.

We love https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac81d, not just the country, but the culture. Anime is a huge part of that. I think it is a fantastic feature.
Cosmetics matter. Identity matters. It fits perfectly.

We love it.
