Good day Mr. President. Could you introduce yourself to the WarEra community and briefly describe your journey to the presidency?
Hello, I am https://app.warera.io/user/6840719c83d6e0c62c8d1fb3, President of https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7b6. I started playing WarEra seven months ago after seeing a Reddit post by https://app.warera.io/user/682221f6233b56ddce0de763. What kept me in the game was the community.
Within my first three months, I made it into Congress and the Government. However, I wasn’t experienced enough at the time, so I decided to step away and spend some time in Moldova. During that period, I focused on writing articles, mostly entertainment, but also politics, economy, interviews, and battle commentaries, which helped me build a reputation.
After my ‘vacation’ in Moldova, I decided to return to Romania and, surprisingly, ended up running for president on a whim.
What first motivated you to step into politics, and at what point did you decide to run for president?
As mentioned earlier, the decision was spontaneous. My opponent at the time dared me to run, and I accepted. In the end, I won by a landslide.
What are the main goals you have set for your country during your current term?
I published an article during my candidacy outlining my goals (https://app.warera.io/article/6952973e24562ebd25be2f4e)
• Keeping Romania as the main hub for steel companies (successful)
• Ensuring internal stability (successful)
• Developing and strengthening the community both in-game and on Discord (Discord still needs work, and I didn’t have much time for it)
• Attracting new players while retaining existing ones in an open and friendly environment (despite a successful recruitment campaign, I don’t consider this goal fully achieved)”
Which aspect of WarEra do you feel most confident in: warfare, economy, or politics, and how do you compensate for areas outside your expertise?
There are two ways to answer this, me as a player and me as President.
As a player, I’m confident I can hold my ground in a fight. Politics belong in the comedy section, and the economy, well it's based on twelve companies running 24/7.
As President, I’d say warfare and politics are my stronger points. That said, regardless of my ego, I rely heavily on my Vice President, Minister of Defense, Minister of Economy, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Congress. I trust them to help when I struggle and to criticize me when I make mistakes.
How does your administration plan to support new players and keep them active within the country?
We invite all new players to our Discord community, where they can ask questions, access guides and tools, and discuss current global situations.
We also created our own Reddit community (r/RomaniaWarEra) to expand our reach and attract more players willing to join us.
What principles guide your decisions when it comes to wars, alliances, and diplomacy?
I follow a few simple principles:
• I always keep my word and take responsibility for my mistakes.
• If someone approaches me respectfully, I will always respond, regardless of their affiliation. If insults start flying, I simply leave the conversation.
• When dealing with wars, alliances, and diplomacy, I always prioritize the oldest agreements first. Any new negotiations must not break previous commitments.
How do you approach cooperation with Congress, political parties, and military leadership?
In a perfect world, Congress would be informed about upcoming laws at least three days in advance. In reality… endless pings.
Whenever questions arise, I explain why a law must be passed, whether it’s to help allies, honor agreements, or ensure national security. Political parties do not exist yet.
Military leadership usually involves the Minister of Defense, the Vice President, and myself, depending on who is online at the time.
What are your top economic priorities, and what changes (if any) do you plan to introduce?
Our priorities are maintaining Romania’s steel specialization and generating enough income to support our allies and manage revolts.
As for future changes, if there is a plan, I’d rather not reveal it to my enemies.
How do you handle criticism, opposition, or internal disagreements within the country?
I am always open to discussion within the limits of common sense. I receive complaints regularly, learn from them, and work to improve or fix my shortcomings.
When your term eventually ends, how would you like your presidency to be remembered by the players?
Everyone will have their own opinion. Some may respect me; others may hate me.
I don’t care if I am forgotten, but I want people to know that everything I did was for Romania. And regardless of how others view or treat me, I will continue to do everything I can for my country.
Bonus Question: Is https://app.warera.io/user/6841cf283655f677fb5a581f the shittier version of https://app.warera.io/user/6840719c83d6e0c62c8d1fb3?
Always has been.
We thank the President of Romania for this open and thoughtful interview. His leadership reflects a strong focus on commitment, accountability, and community, values that continue to shape Romania’s role in WarEra.
