The Presidential Briefing #5: ItalianDog99 (Italy)

BogoljubJanuary 30, 2026politics

Mr. President, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Could you introduce yourself to the WarEra community and tell us about your path to the Italian presidency?

Hello everyone, my name is https://app.warera.io/user/68995483e7c74552d8d2b094. I’ve been playing WarEra since August 12, 2025. When I started, I had only one goal in mind: the expansion of https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7a2.

At the time, there were only 13 of us in the country, so we quickly got to know each other and always helped one another. We worked hard to promote WarEra and make it known in Italy, while also building close relationships with many nations around the world.

Today, I focus on helping new players and guiding them along the same path I took. With determination and unity, we will become very strong—this is only the beginning.

Italy has recently emerged from a difficult war against Serbia. How would you assess the outcome of this conflict from your perspective?

Italy has never attacked Serbia first. Both in the previous conflict and during the PABLO vs. CULO war, Serbia invaded us. That said, the most recent war was entirely my fault.

I acted immaturely and lost a great deal of trust from my people. No one supported the article I wrote against Serbia. Italy was unprepared and caught off guard, and many of us lacked the resources to fight effectively.

Our allies helped us a lot, and despite everything, it was a hard-fought war. I’m proud of how we stood our ground. Serbia could have done much more damage if they had pushed further.

What were the key lessons Italy learned from this war, both militarily and politically?

When you hold a position as important as the presidency, you must never act impulsively. You need to think carefully and use reason.

I made a serious mistake, and I learned from it. Militarily, however, we performed better than expected. We were only 29 players, while Serbia had more than double our numbers. The final result showed us that Italy is stronger than we thought.

How has the war affected Italy’s internal stability and player morale, and what steps are being taken to address it?

Despite another defeat, especially one against Serbia, we were impressed by how we handled the war.

Unfortunately, that conflict triggered a domino effect. We faced the attack on Tunisia, diplomatic problems with Belgium, and the addition of the Vatican. It was one of the most challenging months we’ve experienced.

Thanks to strong diplomacy, the support of other presidents, and my very capable ministers, we managed to resolve all these issues and prevent Italy from disappearing from the map.

Do you believe Italy’s strategy going into the war was sound, or are there decisions you would reconsider in hindsight?

If we’re talking about the war against Serbia, there was no real strategy. I did not expect the Serbs to react so strongly and launch an invasion.

Everything was improvised, and strategies were created on the spot.

How do you plan to rebuild Italy’s military strength and preparedness after this loss?

Since the end of the war, our country has grown by 200%. We now have around 90 players.

Our goal is to train everyone as effectively as possible while avoiding unnecessary conflicts in the future.

What role will diplomacy and alliances play in Italy’s recovery and future security?

Our priority has always been mutual support. No nation wins alone.

Alliances are essential for survival and growth, but they are also difficult to manage. Still, they remain the foundation of long-term security.

How will your administration support players who were discouraged or became inactive after the war?

Interestingly, no one quit after the defeat. On the contrary, we tripled our numbers.

Morale is high, and new players share the same mindset. They are developing quickly by following the principles and teachings we’ve built as a nation.

How do you personally handle responsibility and criticism following a national defeat?

I issued a public apology, both to my citizens and to the Serbian state.

I am deeply ashamed of my actions, but I am determined to redeem myself. I may have lost face, but I did not lose my heart.

Looking ahead, what is your long-term vision for Italy’s position in WarEra after this setback?

If we continue on this path, Italy will rise above the world average in military power, even though many nations are currently growing faster than us.

Regardless, Italy will remain an important country in WarEra, and we will continue climbing the ranks. Time will tell.

We hope you enjoyed this candid interview with the President of Italy. Stay tuned for more leadership perspectives in the WarEra Newspaper.
