"Oh, salty sea, how much of your salt is tears from Portugal?" - Fernando Pessoa
As Portugal faced the prospect of collapse 883 years after being recognised as a country, the people of the ever so resilient nation joined together once more in an effort to, again, stop an invasion from the south.
At one point Portugal was pushed to it's central region, with Morocco claiming all it's other territories. Now, after multiple wins, and with only the Algarve (and islands) to reclaim, the same way the southernmost section of continental Portugal was won in 1249 during the "Reconquista", these heroic feats will be put together as a prime example of how history will always repeat itself.
The portuguese forces keep developing and growing in dimension, challenging the biggest nations in population size alone. Only time will tell if Portugal will settle down or, just maybe, if they decide to follow the footsteps of their ancestors once more and sail into another Age Of Discovery where this time the focus surely won't be the discovery of new land, but instead the rediscovery of the Portuguese Empire.
