Throughout history, the Church has endured persecution, humiliation, exile, and the wrath of emperors.

Kingdoms have risen and crumbled, armies have conquered nations, and tyrants have sought to silence the word of God.

None have succeeded in destroying the faith of those who believe.

Just as our Lord Jesus Christ endured suffering upon the Cross without abandoning His divine mission, so too shall we endure this trial without abandoning ours.

They may occupy Rome.

They may burn our sanctuaries and desecrate our sacred ground.

They may break our walls and scatter our soldiers.

But they shall never break the Church.
