[NL Gov] The Second Glorious Revolution Victorious

To the Peoples of the Low Countries, The British Isles, and the Wider World,

The Second Glorious Revolution has reached its natural conclusion. After three months of lawful administration over the British Isles, the joint governance of the Netherlands and Belgium has formally drawn to a close, and sovereignty has been returned to the United Kingdom and Ireland. William III himself did not seek to erase England; he sought to correct it, stabilize it, and withdraw into a constitutional arrangement that served both realms. We have done no differently. 

This was always the intention. The Second Glorious Revolution was never conceived as permanent annexation, but as a historical and administrative correction. We now leave behind two sovereign and transformed nations. The dikes are built, the bike lanes have been laid, and the coffee shops have been installed. This means that British stag parties can now be celebrated in London (formerly Nieuw Utrecht), and there will be no need of descending upon Amsterdam and vomiting into our canals. Stroopwafels and Belgian chocolate are widely available, we have thought you how to properly bake fries, and your islands finally serve real (Belgian and Dutch) beer. You are welcome.

In Ireland, our administration proved perhaps most consequential of all. Upon arrival, we encountered a political elite, blinded by corruption and shocking “its” country with blatant open racism. We are proud to say that the Irish have regained their sovereignty with clean hands. We congratulate you with the seating of your new government and we are proud to leave not as enemies, but as friends.

History has bound our nations before. It has done so, once again, in the most administratively efficient manner possible. And of course we shall, with the warmest of intentions, keep a friendly eye on things should you ever need us again. We are always available. You are still driving on the wrong side of the road, for example.
