The Split Brain Experiment is where the patients Brain is split into two working parts, and since both parts are now disconnected the persons behaviour becomes very interesting. You show a person an axe, he'll call it an axe but draw something else entirely and not be able to see it as anything other than an axe even though he can describe what an axe is perfectly. the two split parts of the brain control different functions and when they are split both seemingly function as semi independent units, both thinking they are the real you and both manipulating memories, all logic and sense to keep the illusion of "self" alive to keep your mind from collapsing, this experiment was done on thausands of people. This suggests that consciousness might just be an illusion the mind creates for continuity and chronology, I mean if you're your brain and your memories, those just keep shifting around and changing constantly, they are not even comparable to what they were 10 years ago, technically, you're dying every second and a new you is created every time, all to keep the farce running, the lie that you are conscious. Either this or we have souls.
