Except from torches, the empty altar, this tapestry and a small frame on the wall a bit further, the room is pretty empty indeed. It's nothing but a cold dungeon at this point...
What happened to this place?
I look around at the wall, and there's a picture which seems to be taken during one of the Holy Case masses.

" https://app.warera.io/user/69175a4947cb935b3e09c080 talked about his money problem, while we explained ours. Our lives are devoted to protecting the Holy Case. Us, our ancestors, and many before them fulfilled this duty without any problems. But we knew: one time, our secret would leak and someone would open the Holy Case. That day, the world would be doomed... So, we talked all night, and in the early morning: we did what needed to be done. We closed a deal with the Devil himself!"
I'm still not sure of what happened exactly, but the monk guides me to the other side of the room...
"He had no other choice than accepting the transaction... It was a golden opportunity for his MU, and for us. We donated the altar and all of our golden ornaments to https://app.warera.io/user/69175a4947cb935b3e09c080, who could sell and invest them in his MU. In return for this huge one-time transaction, the Devils would swear forever protection and admiration to the Holy Case. On that moment, he swore an oath to the Holy Case, and wrote it down, for everyone to see."
He halts a bit further, where he points to a little frame hung up to the wall.
"Go on. Read it!"

The original writing of Rups became an illuminated manuscript by now! They have added ornaments and decorated initials over the time, out of pure respect...
The monk saw I comprehended it all now. What it was all about with the Holy Case, how the story entangled with the https://app.warera.io/mu/697dfff14fe43895c80e9f4b , why they only hold one case, how https://app.warera.io/user/69175a4947cb935b3e09c080 was able to get those funds, why they worship it, ... It finally made sense!
I simply nodded to him, and we both understood. It was a sign I was ready to leave the Hall. The blindfold got back on, and he guided me back to the surface level... And all I could do, all I could think off, still being in disbelieve of the events, the dungeon, the tapestry, the Oath of https://app.warera.io/user/69175a4947cb935b3e09c080 , … was:
"Will somebody ever believe what I saw here? ..."
