The Tale of the Holy Case - The Ancient Tapestry

"Ah, we've arrived! I'll take off your blindfold here..."

Finally, that thing was sweating a lot... The dark room is lit by torches hanging on all sides, enough for the eyes to adapt pretty quickly. I seem to be in a massive square underground chamber... There's room for easily a hundred man here, but it's close to empty right now. In the centre there's a table with an oversized black blanket over it, draped all the way to the floor. That seems to serve as an altar of some kind...

"Nothing much to see there now, human, this is what I wanted to show you... Watch and behold, The Ancient Tapestry of the Holy Case!" :prayge:

While I look to my right to see the tapestry, the creature falls to his knees and prays like an absolute lunatic. I take a glance at it and realised what https://app.warera.io/user/6976999c59a84b0ddaed2489 said previously: never humiliate them, always do as they do! So, I sit on my knees, next to him, and studied the tapestry, with folded hands and great interest...

I guess five minutes are passed by now, when the creature slowly erects himself again... Only now I'm able to see a bit behind his black cape and realise the monk is the same type of creature as the one on the tapestry!

"It was to this place, I brought https://app.warera.io/user/69175a4947cb935b3e09c080 on that stormy winter day."

He opens his arms to the room:
"This is the Sacred Hall of the Holy Case. On normal days, when we don't have visitors, the Holy Case is placed on the central altar, but it's hidden much deeper today... The altar used to be a beautifully decorated one, and this entire room was filled with golden ornaments. Until recently..."

Except from torches, the empty altar, this tapestry and a small frame on the wall a bit further, the room is pretty empty indeed. It's nothing but a cold dungeon at this point...

What happened to this place?
