The true story about TheSwedishMoose

There has been a lot of speculations and lies spread about what happened last few days.
So figured it was time to set things straight and to explain what happened with the infamous Moose.

Normally, I would not bother, because at the end of the day.
This is a game.
A free to play beta version of a game.
(Well technically you could pay 5 euro monthly for a few features), but besides that, you cant buy advantages.
Ill also do this in English, as its been non Swedes asking / spreading things that are simply not true.

I put in soo much time and effort to this game, so it did not sit right with me listening to people simply lie and in some cases, it really seemed personal, which i dont understand, as I never really talked with any of them.

Lets jump into it!

Am I The Swedish Moose?

- Yes, I am the same player as up to recently played as the Moose and before that SwedishPotatoes.

Why is the account now banned?

- Because to be completely honest, i did not enjoy playing it anymore. I was spending 12 or more hours a day refreshing, looking at various dashboards for opportunities to buy/sell items and equipments.
Mainly equipments, but at times this was quite tedious. Constantly remove/ re-add to market for new prices etc. At times this was the main things i was doing. Last couple of weeks I was also opening a lot of cases, so even more items to manage and it was draining. Other did the same so the market was getting flooded with items and prices being pushed down for quick sales as many just needed quick BTC for more cases etc.

Changing build to a sustain build and go to war was also in my eyes boring after just a week.
It did not give the same feeling that hooked me 5 months ago when I started playing and explored the game and later focused on the economical aspects of the game more and roleplaying as a Potato/Moose.

So, I simply decided to delete the account.
Problem is, when doing so it looks on surface that it has been banned.
If you look at reason however, it says DRQ (User requested deletion).
That brings me to the next part.

TheSwedishMoose cheated
- No. Never did and never would. There is plenty of scripters in the game however, which is a problem and something you see a lot of when browsing the marketplace. I also question some things that seem to be within rules as coordinated eqipment / item stockpile buy up, which you most likely would have seen on the Purple equipment last couple of weeks. Or the couple of players blocking item queues with orders so big, 99% of the players cant put in. So good luck trying to buy that resource for that price this week...
But Im not gonna rant about the issues most of us already deal with today.

Why does Potatis exist then?
Quite simply, i had a good night sleep and got an idea when waking up the next day.
I did after all take the decision to delete the Moose in the middle of the night.

What about starting from the beginning again and see if i can do better from the start?
Was thinking with the addition of more mission and other features, it could be a bit more fun from the beginning with the chance of levelling up a bit quicker. Also, see what i learned the last 5 months could be applied.

So, reactivating my account was not enough to really get that start over feeling.
I decided to create a new account, but in the spirit of honesty, I was an idiot first and forgot I was already logged in to the old account on my phone as I mainly play on the laptop, so new account got banned instantly, haha

But a ticket to MODs on discord (where I also shared why I was doing this) later, and some good support from their end I was up and running. Excited to also roleplay as a newbie and see how that is now.

I could understand that this might be strange for some, giving up a account which was heading into top 1000 in wealth. But I do actually approach other games in the same way. Which is something i realised when thinking about writing this article.

To give an example, i am a massive Football Manager nerd (and soon 2027 is out, yey) and i think i have restarted saves for my favourite team 100 times minimum and spent countless hours re-doing the start and see if i can do it better, win more, make more profit, find the best talents for even cheaper deals etc.

Simply put, this is a game and we enjoy playing it differently.
This is how I like to play and enjoy myself with this game as well.
We are all different after all and what a boring world we would live in if we werent.

Last but not least.
All these people that have been spreading lies, I feel sorry for you.
I am not even mad anymore and wont waste more time on you.
What I dont understand though, is why you simply did not DM me?
People in my own country, both in game and on discord just assuming things and spreading lies.
Also, not presenting a single proof, because they dont exist, they cant exist as I never cheated.

I am 100% sure I wont get an apology from any of these, but that's okay.
Would be happy if they do reach out and are decent human being, but im fine if they dont.
I will focus on what I am here for, and I guess we are all here for.. to play the game and have fun!
