There are plenty of starter guides in the game, and most of them are good. Many were written in July and August, before v0.26.0 put every player on the map. This one is current for v0.26.2 and links a free tool for each step.
If you only open one link, open this one. Type your name and it shows the handful of tools that fit your level and build, with the reason for each:
https://warera.unikhorne.dev/me
Your level is the most important number early on. Every level gives 4 skill points, and XP comes almost only from missions. You find them under Progression.
Starting missions: 14 of them, once per account. 50 XP each, and the full set adds 500 XP, 50 BTC and 5 cases. That is 1,200 XP, enough for level 8 on its own.
Daily: 10 missions at 10 XP, reset at 00:00 UTC. Clear 7 of them and the set adds 100 XP, 10 BTC and a case. All 10 make 200 XP a day.
Weekly: 1,000 XP for the full set, reset on Monday.
Monthly: 2,000 XP for the full set.

Missions are claimed by hand. A finished mission waits behind its own claim button, and a dot on Progression tells you so. The dice button next to a mission is the reroll.
The first reroll of a mission is free, further ones cost 2 BTC. Use it on missions that cost you money, like eating food while you are an economy player.
The login calendar runs for 7 days. Day 7 pays 35 BTC, 10 gems and 3 cases, and the streak keeps counting after that.
Two beginner missions ask you to join a party and to vote. Vote Match compares you with the candidates of your country's election:
https://warera.unikhorne.dev/elections
A skill level costs its own number in points. Level 1 costs 1 point, level 5 costs 5, and a skill at level 10 has taken 55 points. Ten is the cap for skill points.
Start with the economy skills:
Production: how many production points (PP) every work session makes. It multiplies everything else.
Energy: how often you can work at a job. 10 per session.
Entrepreneurship: how often you can work in your own companies. 10 per session.
Companies: how many companies you may own. You start with room for 2.

Leave the fighting skills alone until your companies pay for themselves. If your points are not enough for the next level of a skill, keep them until they are.
A reset costs 0.5 BTC for every point you spent, so plan before you click.
The Skill Planner reads your live profile and tells you where your next points should go. Pick Eco, then whether you work alone or with workers:
https://warera.unikhorne.dev/planner

Almost every guide agrees on the same four companies, and the reason is simple.
Limestone into Concrete. A new company costs concrete: 50, plus 50 for every company you already own. Your second costs 100, your third 150.
Iron into Steel. The automated engine of a company is upgraded with steel, and the price doubles each level: 20, 40, 80, 160 steel. An engine makes its level in PP per hour, so level 4 makes 96 PP a day without a single click.
The rule that keeps you cheapest: always buy the next +1 PP per hour at the lowest price. Compare the next engine level with a new company, and take whichever costs less.
Both upgrades, and moving the company, sit in the menu behind the three dots on the company card. The engine line shows the steel the next level costs.

Storage only matters once you hire workers. Until then, leave it at level 1.
Where a company stands changes what it makes. Deposits and party policies give regions production bonuses, right now up to 70 percent, and the deposits run out after a few days. Moving a company costs 5 concrete. This tab shows the highest bonus for every good right now, with the time left:
https://warera.unikhorne.dev/market?view=produce

Do not hire workers yet. They need wages and storage, and a wrong wage loses money every day. There is also a change coming: on the test server, v0.27 replaces workers with employees who are recruited and trained. Wait and see what goes live.
A job pays your PP times the wage per PP. The income tax of the country where the company sits comes off your pay. Working in your own company has no wage and pays no income tax.
Before you take a job, look at what the market pays. The Wages tab shows the median wage per PP next to the range the game allows today.

Below that sits a job board, sorted by what reaches the worker after tax. Load your profile and it only lists the jobs you qualify for:
https://warera.unikhorne.dev/market?view=wages

A wage near the bottom of the allowed range is rarely worth your energy. Your own company is often the better use of it.
Energy and Entrepreneurship refill 10 percent of the bar per hour and stop at the top, so a full bar wastes its refill. The Discord bot sends you a DM when one is full (/alerts watch):
https://warera.unikhorne.dev/bot
Cases come from missions, the login calendar and battles. Whether to open one or sell it depends on the market that day. This tab compares what a case is worth with what it sells for, and says for every rarity whether selling or scrapping the item pays more:
https://warera.unikhorne.dev/market?view=cases

As an economy player you do not need good gear. Sell what is worth money, and scrap the rest.
Since v0.26.0 you stand in one region.
Moving costs 10 stamina per region crossed. The bar holds 100 and refills 10 per hour. When it runs out, 2 oil per region covers the rest.
Wooden cases drop on the map, one roll per hour, only for you. The chance is 25 percent plus your Loot chance. You have to walk to the region to collect one.
At most 5 wait at a time, and each disappears after 48 hours. Collect at least once a day.
Two missions ask for exactly this in every set: move somewhere, and collect a wooden case.
The button with the case on the left edge of the map opens all of it: stamina, cases waiting, your chance and the nearest case.

Do not let the stamina bar sit at 100, because the refill above it is lost.

https://warera.unikhorne.dev/me

https://warera.unikhorne.dev/elections

Plan also, bevor du klickst.
https://warera.unikhorne.dev/planner

https://warera.unikhorne.dev/market?view=produce

Warte ab, was davon live geht.

https://warera.unikhorne.dev/market?view=wages

Ein voller Balken verschenkt also seinen Nachschub.
https://warera.unikhorne.dev/bot
https://warera.unikhorne.dev/market?view=cases

Steck deine Punkte in Wirtschaftsskills.
