Because of this, it is always somewhat unusual to boot up WarEra and see damage numbers in the European theatres of war vastly exceeding anything occurring in Africa. Given the historical tendency of powerful nations to project force outward into less developed regions, you might expect conflict and activity to be more spread out

Reasons for this seem to be securing your continental land, multiple debuffs that occur due to disconnected lands, and not much benefit to be gained, with more prestige and loosh lying in boinking your neighbors, blah blah i dont know much history going on in here (anyways tip)
