This game is proving one fundamental truth: when you strip away real-world alliances, endless proxy funding, and historical biases, the world order gets turned completely on its head. Let’s dive into the stats.
The "Superpowers" Are on Vacation
In the real world, you can’t sneeze without the "Big Guys" getting involved. In WarEra? They are completely irrelevant.
The United States: Sitting at #19 in Weekly Damage and #23 in Development. It turns out that when the US doesn't have the urge to dip its toes into every single foreign conflict or "liberate" someone's oil, they just kind of… chill. They are barely a blip on the radar.
Russia & Ukraine: The real-world narrative is flipped. Russia is barely scraping by at #12 in damage, while Ukraine has a massive active population (Rank #7 with 386 players). I guess without real-world logistics, the Russian bear is just hibernating.
The Ghosts of Asia: China (#164 in damage) and Iran (#160 in damage) are basically non-existent. Iran is putting out a measly 383K damage. It seems like the Ayatollahs couldn't find the "attack" button, and China just logged off to play something else.
A Dose of Virtual Justice: Israel and Palestine
Now, let's talk about the Middle East, because this is where the game offers some serious poetic justice.
Palestine: Rank #56 in Damage (10.33M) and Rank #30 in Development.
Israel: Rank #108 in Damage (2.79M), Rank #107 in Wealth.
Look at those numbers. Israel has 66 active players compared to Palestine's 13, yet Palestine is out-damaging them almost 4-to-1 and vastly out-developing them. It’s almost as if when a certain state doesn’t have billions in foreign aid and Uncle Sam fighting its battles, its military apparatus completely crumbles.
The Bizarre Billionaires and Warlords
If the old powers are dead, who is running the world? Absolute madmen, that's who.
Venezuela (The Warlords): Rank #1 in Weekly Damage (535.39M) and Rank #3 in Development. They are an absolute menace. Whatever they are feeding their soldiers down in Caracas, I want some.
The Holy Hitmen (The Vatican): The Vatican only has 22 active players, but they generated 3.31M in damage and are Rank #16 in Bounties Earned (91.8K). The Pope’s Swiss Guards are apparently out here acting like John Wick. "Turn the other cheek" has clearly been replaced with "Deus Vult."
The New 1%: Look at the Wealth rankings. India is #1, Iceland is #2, and Haiti is #3. Haiti is sitting on 32.5K wealth! Who needs international aid when you are the third richest empire on the globe?
A Personal Note: The Homeland is Thriving
Finally, checking in on my roots.
Italy (The Renaissance 2.0): Rank #1 in Development (936.33) and Rank #5 in Active Population. The Roman Empire isn't just back; it's highly civilized. We are building the future, one perfect espresso at a time.
Morocco: The Atlas Lions are still holding the line! We are Rank #42 in Wealth and Rank #47 in Development. We might only have 37 active players, but we are surviving, adapting, and growing day by day.
I’m just trying to keep my companies afloat in this wild economy, but watching this alternate reality unfold is the best entertainment I could ask for. Keep the chaos coming.
