HANOI, VIETNAM, MAY 17 - Today, the widespread conflict of TF with the Anti-TF, ICPD, which erupted yesterday, is still not yet to end.
Vietnamese resistance forces continued the TF campaign by launching a new wave of uprisings across occupied territory.
Indonesia’s earlier decision to transfer Hanoi to the Laotians appeared to have some unintended consequences. The move allowed Vietnamese resistance forces to launch two separate revolts at the same time, a situation mirrored in Luzon, where Filipinos also exploited similar conditions. (Update: the Philippines won both battles and is now completely liberated)
Following the successful revolts in Hanoi and Dong Hoi, where the Indonesians abandoned to save their energy for the Battle of Sumatra, the leaders opened three more fronts in Dien Bien Phu and Da Nang, also include an attack in Yunnan Guizhou.
The new uprisings, however, have encountered stronger resistance than expected. The Indonesians, previously facing multiple fronts, launched a major counteroffensive against the Viets, especially in Da Nang.
