The War Era Basics
Welcome to War Era. Since the tutorial in this game isn’t the best, here’s a basic guide to this game. If you want some guides with more detail, you can check out my other guides. (some are still to be written so feel free to suggest one)
So first of all War Era is free to play. There is a subscription but this is only for convenience and has no real gameplay advantage. (You could find it in the shop)
So what do you do here? You can be basically everything from soldier over politician to entrepreneur. Of course for a political career you need to engage in the community of your country and slowly gain the trust of your people. Gathering a fanbase around you is very useful when you want to get elected for congress or president. (Some people also try to buy votes by gifting subscriptions)
In the top right of your window you can see from left to right:
your profile picture (when clicking on that you can open some menus which are self explanatory)
your level when you hover over that you can see exactly how many xp you still need till your next level
4 status bars (they all restock by 10% per hour)
your lives: used for attacking in battles
your hunger: used to eat food which restores health for more damage in battles
your energy: used to work for an employer
your entrepreneurship: used to work in your own company
then you can see your money
the yellow coins are the main currency in the game used for purchasing items, paying workers and donating to countries/MUs/parties
the gems over that are used for purchasing skins and need to be purchased with real money and are only for cosmetics so you can ignore them
Unspoken rule of the game: XP > MONEY so use as much money (for rerolling or donating, etc.) as you need to complete all of your quests.
In the top right are also notifications, here you can find some interesting information
The Battles screen shows all ongoing battles with your order from a military unit you can join one tab to the left from the Battles or from your country. You should prioritise fighting for those battles as its sometimes needed for a quest.
Battles end when one side reaches 300 ground. You gain ground while having more damage than the other side. Each tick gives a different amount of ground depending on how long the battle is going on.

When levelling up, you get skill points, they can be used in this screen to upgrade your stats. You should only skill your economy skills when starting out, war only makes sense economically once you reach about level 30.
At the end here are 3 basic tips:
Level is the number one priority. You should always finish all available quests.
Economy should have priority over war. Self sufficiency is key (you should think about that when choosing what your next company produces)
Allocate your skills mostly to Energy and Production as they make the most money
