Another week, another collection of questionable travel decisions.

But the map tells the better story.

WHERE THE DAMAGE WENT

More than half of everything this one fired went into one theatre.

So, naturally, we begin in Africa.

NORTH/WEST AFRICA

9 Battles • 8,206,756 Damage • 55.76%

Africa called.

Repeatedly.

South America began with simple instructions:

With the rifle mostly useless, the notebook came out instead, and the battle became the subject of a full WarErZA field report.

Only one battle.

1.37 million damage in a single battle.

Then there was an https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7e5 revolt against https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac83c in https://app.warera.io/region/6813b7069403bc4170a5d7e9.

Why?

Alliance politics. This one has a word limit.

SOUTHERN AFRICA

Home was considerably quieter.

That last defence began normally enough before orders came from above:

EAST AFRICA & THE MIDDLE EAST

Two battles.

Two debuffs.

Very little dignity.

This one scratched 1,432 damage into the fight against the https://app.warera.io/country/6873d0ea1758b40e712b5f16 revolt threatening allied https://app.warera.io/country/683ddd2c24b5a2e114af15bd territory, and another 938 into the attack on https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac8a6.

Not every battlefield receives millions.

Some merely receive:

“Binya was here.”

Week Four was not really the story of 22 separate battles.

It was the story of where the rifle kept being pointed.

Elsewhere, some battles mattered enough for millions.

Some needed only a scratch.

And sometimes this one could not shoot at all, so he picked up the notebook instead.

That may be the strangest lesson from four weeks of keeping this journal:

A war correspondent never really leaves the battlefield.

Sometimes this one simply changes weapons.
