The War Ledger: Congress Campaign Speech (Term 2)

Fellow citizens of South Africa,

When I first asked for your trust, I brought only a promise: to listen, to show up, and to serve with integrity. You gave me that chance, and I have carried it into every debate, vote, and decision in Congress.

Today, I stand before you again, not as a newcomer, but as someone with experience and a clear vision.

South Africa’s strength is measured not only on the battlefield but in our economy, our industries, and our people. This term, my focus is clear:

1. A stronger economy

War tests our markets and supply chains. I will advocate for policies that protect businesses, encourage growth, and secure our nation’s stability.

2. Continued support for our soldiers

They deserve proper equipment, strategic leadership, and the backing of a nation that values their service. Economic strength allows us to support them without sacrificing our future.

3. Guidance for newcomers

South Africa thrives when new players are supported and engaged. I will work to implement better mentorship programs within both the economy and military units, helping newcomers understand our systems, grow in their roles, and remain active members of our community. Retaining talent ensures South Africa’s strength and continuity.

4. Transparency and accountability

Through The War Ledger, I have committed to truth and clarity. Citizens deserve to understand decisions that affect their lives, not just to hear them.

I do not claim to have all the answers, but I bring experience, perspective, and the courage to ask hard questions. South Africa faces defining times. We need leadership that balances security, growth, and accountability.
