Today, a historic reconciliation and constructive exchange of views took place.
A meeting was held between the President, members of Congress, the public, and several legendary former football players in Egypt. All parties engaged in a healthy and democratic discussion, exchanging opinions openly and respectfully. In the end, everyone agreed that Egypt’s best interests must come first.
It was also agreed that this will serve as a temporary transitional phase during the Eid period. God willing, fair and democratic presidential elections will be held on June 1st.
Several important issues were discussed during the meeting, including insults and toxic behavior in the chat, for which consequences and regulations were proposed. Another topic involved Congress members using personal profile pictures, which former President Kartous initially disagreed with, but the matter was resolved peacefully and respectfully.
Both former President Kartous and Congress members emphasized that the main goal remains the prosperity and stability of the country above all else. Former President Kartous will continue his political career either as President again if elected after the transitional phase, or as Minister of Economy if not elected.
