Two kings

So when King Frederik X had his birthday yesterday, I never saw any country change their color to red in honor of the Danish king, but when the Dutch king had his birthday, then suddenly Denmark and several others had to change their color in order to honor the Dutch king.

So what makes the Dutch king more special than the Danish king?

I'm not hating on the Dutch or their king, but rather asking questions about some things that have happened lately.

From what I could see, the Dutch king served in the military and received a high military rank (which is standard when they are the king).

But he didn't seem to have done much more than that, and the fact he served on two Dutch warships during his training, if I'm not mistaken. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

The Danish king also served in the military (I don't know if that's standard for a king these days, but it might be).

He also received a high rank in the military, but he also became a frogman in Frømandskorpset, which is a Danish elite unit, and from what I know, he did it under the same conditions as any other regular person would, without any special treatment.

Wouldn't that make the Danish king more special, or am I wrong?

Again, I'm not trying to show bias or be rude or anything like that. I'm just genuinely questioning why the different countries suddenly did that with the Dutch king but not with the Danish king.

I'm sorry if I offended someone, as that wasn't my intention, but I still hope you have a good day.

Also, if I made any errors, feel free to let me know. Just keep the tone respectful or polite, I ask for nothing more.
