Irish Leadership Power Shifts

Acknowledgements

The NPI is proud to announce the success of the United People of Ireland’s success in this month’s elections. The National Party is the seed that gave life to the political tree of Ireland. While the road has been rocky, the sprouts encouraged by the NPI have broken through and made their own footing. May prosperity and success from them as the lineage of the NPI continues.

Election Results

As the election season closes and parties have settled into their new positions on the power structure, Ireland has opened a new chapter from the National Party of Irelands steady hand into a new rising political party under the title of United People of Ireland. Having won the elections for presidency, Chairman of the United People of Ireland and President of Ireland Shmoke has taken the incumbent former president Rag’s long-standing position with a gap of 4 votes for a total of 27. Whilst the NPI stands opposed to the direction the UPI seek for Ireland, it remains the directive to benefit Ireland alone. Hailing from that, the NPI wishes the UPI well and prosperity for Ireland through their leadership.

This is not without concerns from the old guard and national party, however, as some within the NPI have pointed out issues within the immediate structure of the new presidency. Let it be known, these concerns are not raised out go want for power or spite but love for the heartland.

A Stacked Council

The chosen council of UPI President Shmoke is consisting of large majority UPI members, notably founding members who hold great reverence of the standing president. While this is not without context nor precedent, it is concerning to the NPI that no obvious voices of opposition are present as compared to President Rag’s cabinet’s in the past. In the past, fellow NPI members have even disagreed majorly with former President Rag’s choices (Including me, RaccoonGreg/Robino) and created more effective and safer solutions to issues present. The issue is not of immediate concern, as it is still young, but should be observed nonetheless.

A Failure to Follow Through of Promises of Democracy

It is not of the opinion of the NPI that democracy is ineffective, but simply a delicate balance of responsibility and time efficiency. The core tenet of responsibility governing has already been strained by the presidency with the creation of a UPI dominated cabinet. The concerns raised are of the failure to provide an internal voice for All government factions to address issues collaboratively. The issue is still able to be resolved with the election of representatives and congressmen, albeit it a reduced position with substantially less sway over governance.

A Soft Internal and Foreign Policy

“I promise to represent our beautiful country and serve all of its people with dedication, empathy, and pride.” - Chairman of the UPI and President of Ireland Shmoke

The issue raised is not the want to serve Ireland and dedicate themselves to its prosperity. The issue is with the included of empathy as a primary means of leadership, when empathy with our conquers has lead to only empty talks and arguments over simple freedom from unjust rule. Is weakness truly something we can afford to hold at the top of the list when our home is held at gunpoint by a coalition of conquers who seek no true efforts to reform our home without major concessions?

Endnotes

No matter our raised issues, no matter our differences, we are still Irish. We are brethren who suffer under a tyrants heels. We must not let division break our cause nor shall we lose our will to stand for our right of self determination. Live free or die.

All who stand with the NPI, IRA, and against oppressors everywhere, know this with absolute confidence.
