Tournaments used to drop out of nowhere with every country (or every MU) thrown into the bracket automatically. They are now a recurring event you sign up for.
One tournament every two weeks, alternating MU tournament and Country tournament.
Registration opens Monday 00:00 UTC and closes Friday 18:00 UTC, when the bracket is drawn and the first round starts. The rest of the bracket plays out over the weekend. (not including the current tournament)
Only registered MUs / countries take part. A country that nobody signed up does not appear in the bracket at all.
Who can register an MU: its owner and its commanders.
Who can register a country: any government role holding the new Register the country for tournaments permission (president, vice-president, minister of defense). If your country has no government at all, the owner or a commander of an MU of that country can register it instead, so no country is locked out.
You can withdraw as long as registration is still open, with the same permissions.
The tournament page during registration is a real page now instead of an empty bracket: countdown to the start, the skill bonus and max rarity of the edition, the register / withdraw button, and the list of everyone who has signed up so far.
Not enough entries, no tournament: fewer than 2 registrations at the start time and the tournament is cancelled instead of started, with a notification. An MU that registers and then empties out is dropped too, so it can no longer win a round by walkover.
Cancelled is a real state: it shows on the tournament page, in the tournament list and on the events card, and the tournament stops being retried every 10 minutes.
The equipment rarity cap of the edition is enforced again. It had been silently disabled: any gear could be used in a tournament battle whatever the announced cap. Hitting with a weapon, ammo or gear above the edition's max rarity is now refused by the server, checked on the equipment you actually hit with, so equipping mid-hit cannot slip past it. The cap is shown on the tournament header and on the registration panel, before you sign up and build a loadout.
Tournament cards now show whether it is an MU or a Country edition, and how many are registered.
Global CPU & GPU optimization: Reworked and optimized map a lot and lazy load translations.
UI: Lot of changes to the UI, Tooltips, Headers stats.
Vibration: Added vibrations (working on iOS only for now)
