Your country used to be a list you belonged to. Now you have a position on it, and getting anywhere else costs something.
You fight where you stand. Attackers hit from the region the attack was launched from, defenders from the region under attack, and a resistance or a revolution is fought in the contested region itself. Until you are standing there the Hit button is a Move button instead. Tournaments are fought from anywhere.
A new Stamina bar, 100 points, refilling 10 an hour. Trips are priced by how many regions away the destination is, and each region crossed costs 10 stamina. A full bar carries you ten regions, and the bar alone covers about 24 a day.
Out of stamina, you pay in oil. When the bar cannot cover the whole trip, the trip is charged 2 oil per region crossed and the bar is left alone. A move never takes both, so the far side of the world is always reachable, it just costs.
A menu for the map, holding your position and the nearest wooden case waiting for you, with the distance to it.
What a trip costs
1 region away, next door: 10 stamina, or 2 oil
5 regions away: 50 stamina, or 10 oil
10 regions away, a full bar: 100 stamina, or 20 oil
19 regions away, the widest trip there is: more than a full bar, so 38 oil
A new account opens with 20 oil, ten regions' worth of travel for when the bar runs out.
Every region on the map can be reached from every other one, and no two are further than nineteen regions apart.
A new kind of case is dropped across the world, one at a time, and it is only yours if you go and get it.
Every hour, a roll for you. 25% base, plus your Luck, which at its maximum roughly doubles it. A hit puts one wooden case on a random region of the map, addressed to you and to nobody else.
Five waiting at once, 48 hours each. While five of yours sit uncollected the hourly roll is skipped, and a case nobody comes for disappears after two days.
You have to be standing on it. A case is claimed from the region's own menu once you are there, so every case is a trip you decide is worth taking.
Kinder odds than a battlefield case, and it pays resources rather than gear. Wooden cases can be sold on the market like the others.
What falls out of one
Opening a case rolls a rarity first, then picks a resource of that rarity at random.
Epic, 2%: Cooked Fish, Heavy Ammo, Pill
Rare, 13%: Ammo, Steak
Uncommon, 20%: Concrete, Steel, Bread, Oil, Paper, Light Ammo
Common, 65%: Grain, Iron, Wood, Lead, Limestone, Mysterious Plant, Petroleum, Livestock, Fish
How much of it you get
Every case is handed the same kind of budget, a random amount of work between 20 and 80 points, and then gives you as much of the rolled resource as that budget buys. The amount is therefore the budget divided by what one unit costs to make: something cheap arrives as a big stack, a finished good as a handful, and two cases are worth about the same however different they look side by side.
20 to 80 a case: Grain, Iron, Wood, Lead, Limestone, Mysterious Plant, Petroleum, Oil, Paper, Light Ammo
5 to 20: Ammo
2 to 8: Concrete, Steel, Bread
1 to 5: Heavy Ammo
1 to 4: Livestock, Steak
1 to 2: Fish, Cooked Fish
1: Pill
A government can now point its citizens at one lost region and say: push here.
One call per country, planted on a region it used to hold, with a line of its own explaining why that one comes first. Setting another replaces it.
It shows in two places: the region is marked on the map, and the call sits at the top of the battle list, which stays worth opening precisely when the country has no battle running. The card is a way straight there.
A signal, and nothing more. It moves no resistance, changes no cost and adds no damage: a battle order for a battle that has not started yet.
The map arrived with its own set of goals, on both tabs of Progression.
Two new lifetime ladders: regions crossed on the map, and wooden cases collected.
Two new missions: move somewhere, and collect a wooden case. Both of them run daily, weekly and monthly.
UI got updated
Globe version got fixed, and improved
Map performance should have been improved too
Nothing has to be done on your side. Here is what changes on an account that already exists, the first time it loads this version.
You start on home soil. Your position on the map is set for you, on one of your country's original regions picked at random, held by it today or not. Nothing to choose, nothing to pay.
Your stamina bar arrives full, ten regions of travel already paid for. Spend them on the battle you want to be in.
Your first wooden case can land within the hour. The roll starts as soon as the update is out, so one may already be waiting for you somewhere before you have moved at all.
The Council Member badge is retired, and comes off the profiles that carried it. It paid nothing, so nothing is taken back with it.
