Q1. Can you introduce yourself to our readers?

I'm Zoro and I'm the current President of Italy. I started the game four months ago and immediately took an interest in my country's politics, joining Congress. I've been in government for three months now, first as MOFA, then as Vice President, and now as President.

Q2. Italy has expanded rapidly across France and deep into Central Europe. How did this rise happen so fast and was it always the plan?

International dynamics are more complicated. We are at war ONLY with Germany and its allies. We attacked France to help them reclaim their core regions, we are excellent allies. From there, the war spread to the gates of Berlin. We and Germany have been at war for two months or more now. We've tried to reach agreements in the past, but we still haven't reached an agreement that can be considered fair for both of us.

Q3. Germany has been completely wiped from the map. Italy and its allies were the driving force behind that. How does it feel to have eliminated one of the most established powers in the game?

It was a grueling war, but as an alliance we achieved an important goal. We are very happy with the current situation. However, I don't want the message to be conveyed that we are invaders. I hope, and we hope, as the Italian government, to find a resolution to this conflict with the Germans.

Q4. Pope Crowley III told Voice of Morocco in a recent exclusive that Italy turning against the Holy League during the first crusade is what pushed the Vatican into opposing you. What is your version of those events?
Q5. You currently occupy Vatican City. Do you see that as a political statement, a strategic move, or both?

Crowley has his own roleplay. He had the Vatican, and that was a good thing for us. While Paris was under siege by the Germans, he attacked our capital without warning. He can say what he wants, but he did it to divide our forces and disconnect all our territories. Its occupation is and will remain so. It has lost our trust, and we cannot tolerate an enemy state just a stone's throw from our capital.

Q6. Your alliance list includes major powers like Turkey, Egypt, Poland and the United States. How do you manage relationships with that many allies without losing focus on your own objectives?

Our goal is to have our own economic monopoly, currently lead, and have good relations with our neighbors and those we consider allies. We have no expansionist ambitions. We attack and conquer only if we are attacked first or if our allies attack. We are calm but ferocious if you touch our regions or our allies.

Q7. South Africa's president described the ICPD as lacking economic powerhouses compared to the Olive Union. Do you agree with that assessment and where does Italy fit economically?

He is absolutely right. Our alliance is continuing because we currently have ALL the economic monopolies. This generates revenue that is used to pay the fighters. Whoever has a monopoly has a duty to help the allies financially. It's not one state that holds it, but the entire alliance.

Q8. Germany was clearly your primary target. What made them the priority over every other conflict on your enemy list?

The history with Germany is quite long. Suffice it to say that they were the first to try to conquer Italy. Just look at the wars in Northern Italy. But we are still open to NAP or future peace agreements.

Q9. How would you describe Italy's relationship with Morocco right now?

We have good relations with Morocco. We helped them free themselves from Portuguese rule and will always be ready to help them defend their current territories.

Q10. Italy is now one of the strongest powers on the map. Does that make you a target?

Yes and no. We are a target of ICPD, just like Turkey, Egypt, Croatia, and others.

Q11. Is there a limit to Italian expansion or does the ambition grow with every territory gained?

For us, it's enough to have the territories for our lead monopoly. We will soon return the French territories and leave the German occupation to the allies if an agreement with them isn't reached.
