WAR

It took me a while to write this, because I didn’t want to talk about something I had no real experience with. Luckily, the game gave me no choice but to fight.

In about a month, I went from a player who hadn’t dealt a single point of damage to someone who can manage to get in the weekly top 10. I want to share that journey, and the lessons I picked up along the way.

When I first joined the game, Turkey was under Latin American occupation. Most of us were new and clueless, but determined to take back our country. We jumped into rebellions right away. Since I didn’t understand the combat system yet, I focused on the economy instead. Battle after battle, we lost. Frustration grew, and some players turned to botting. The bans came fast, and the Turkish population, which had been growing, collapsed almost overnight. That’s when I learned the main rule. Play the game for fun, win or lose.

The resulting void in the administration was quickly filled. https://app.warera.io/user/68377830ff3e26085c8a2116, who won unanimous elections, ruled the country until the next war. During his time, I kept working on the economy. Despite not waging war, our borders were slowly expanding. I don't know what kind of agreement was made, but for a short while, Turkey was successful. That’s when I realized another important truth. The way to success in the war is not always trough dealing as much damage as you can. Sometimes, the best weapon is a strong agreement. But agreements don’t last forever, especially with enemies. Sure enough, we were invaded again soon after.

Along with the administration, many players quit. Our population dropped to just 10–15 active people. Honestly, we didn’t stand a chance. Latin American countries had hundreds of player, ten times more than us. And in this game, population is everything: more players means more power, which brings more success, which attracts even more players. It’s a vicious cycle, and I had no idea how to break it. Still, I didn’t want to give up without trying.

The remaining players started preparing for rebellion again. About a month later, we formed an alliance with Portugal, Romania, and Arabia, nations whose populations had suddenly grown. Together, we set a date for the rebellion.

and Victory.

https://app.warera.io/user/684dc5c55a875f06576385c1, who co-led the uprising and has been Turkey’s leader ever since, managed to get us our lands back. This time through smart negotiations.

I had spent weeks preparing for that moment and invested a lot of money. Even without attacking rationally , I managed to hit 130k damage during the rebellion. Now, without spending extra, I can easily do 120k damage on any normal day. Sure, these numbers will change as the game evolves, but you get the point. Fighting has endless possibilities. Sometimes we improvise, sometimes we rely on lessons from the past, but either way, the game always drags us back to war. The key is to be ready when that moment comes.

Hope to see you soon.
