I joined this game few weeks back, I first liked the concept of a geopolitical strategy game simulating the actual world.
Even if at the begining there is a lot of info to digest which can be a little confusing and most systematically will lead to build mistakes, because playing and exploring alone at first, you don't usually opt for eco skills, after all it's called WAR era...
I quickly figured I won't go far without sticking to eco mode first, so I settled for work, finish daily/weekly missions, work on building/upgrading companies...
No matter the way I chose to do it, I started loosing interest for the game honestly. I usually play games to escape from boredom and work, not to work on a game and do boring tasks.
And I don't think i'm the only one. I bet many dropped out for the same reason I don't know if there is some stats somewhere of players drop out before reaching level 21 (I guess it's where you can "safely" switch to war mode).
I think the game architects/devs need to look at this first part of playing this game. A game should encourage leveling up by actually playing not just "working".
There should be stuff to do to keep low levels attracted and entretained, i don't konw maybe some kind of low level battles or more tasks or missions, just SOMETHING
Hopefully for my case, I'm finally planning my war switch, I wish what's coming will be much more interesting to keep me hooked.
Finally, here is a meme I found on some article I couldn't remember who the author is (credit to him):
