Playing War Era effectively comes down to one core principle: treat it like a marathon, not a sprint. Like most PBBGs (Persistent Browser-Based Games), over-grinding or jumping into expensive wars on day one is the fastest path to burnout.
1. Play It Chill (The "2–3 Checks a Day" Routine)
* Log in twice or thrice daily: War Era is built with background production and energy regeneration. Checking in every 8 to 10 hours is plenty.
* Empty warehouses: Your factories stop producing automatically once their storage fills up. Just clear them during your daily check-in.
* Do daily/weekly tasks: Tasks are your main source of early XP. Do your wage work, collect resources, and call it a day.
2. Economy > Military (Levels 1 to 15)
War in this game is wildly expensive. If you spend all your starting cash on weapons and food, you’ll drain your funds instantly.
* Skill Placement: Dump your initial skill points into economic stats—Energy (more wage labor capacity), Entrepreneurship (manual factory output), and Production.
* Ignore Combat Stats Early: Combat skills and Hunger are money pits early on. You can easily respec into combat later when a real war breaks out.
3. Build the Core "Eco Chain"
Your first 4 factories should follow the standard production pipeline to self-sustain your account growth.
Start by setting up Factory 1 and 2 to produce Limestone, which converts into Concrete. Concrete is essential because it is required to construct new factories.
Next, set up Factory 3 and 4 to produce Iron, which converts into Steel. Steel is vital because it is required to upgrade your factory Automated Engines (AE).
Focus your early steel production on upgrading these Automated Engines. Higher AE levels mean your factories produce more passively while you're offline or doing real-world stuff!
4. Join a Military Unit & Engage in Country Chat
* Don't play solo: Joining a local Military Unit or national faction gives you free protection, collective intel, and access to national economic guides.
* Ask in chat: PBBG communities thrive on helping newcomers. Many active nations have player-made tools and government subreddits/Discord servers with exact market tips.
5. Save War for When It Counts
* When actual military operations start and your nation calls for troops, respec your skill points into Attack, Precision, and Crit Chance.
* Only stock high-tier food (Baguettes, Steak) and medical supplies once your passive income can easily afford them.
