THE OLD CYCLE
Once, war ended and wisdom began.
Enemies shook hands, rebuilt the land.
The ashes cooled, the wounds grew still,
And peace returned, as peace always will.
BUT WHAT IF PEACE NO LONGER LASTS?
New powers rise as old powers resist.
Borders shift, alliances twist.
One wants influence, another wants control,
And peace becomes a pause in a much bigger goal.
AND WHO PAYS THE PRICE?
While powerful nations compete for land, resources and fame,
markets tremble and ordinary people carry the blame.
Inflation rises, trade suffers, economies bend,
while somewhere, someone may profit from the war's very end.
Perhaps the real debate is not who wins the war, but who profits from it, who pays for it, and whether peace can survive a world where power is constantly being challenged.
