Deutsche Fassung weiter unten.

The suite, inside your Discord server. 55 commands in eight groups, free, no login, and most of them are set up once and then work while you sleep.

ONE CLICK TO ADD IT

The invite asks for Manage Server, and for Manage Roles on top of it, which is there for exactly one feature: handing out government roles. Everything else runs without it.

If you do want the roles, one manual step remains and Discord insists on it: drag the bot's own role above the roles it should hand out, once, in Server Settings. A bot cannot grant a role that sits higher than itself, and no permission changes that.

EVERY COMMAND, BEFORE YOU INVITE ANYTHING

The page lists all 55 commands from the same source the bot itself uses, so you can read the whole surface from the outside and decide afterwards. /help prints that same list inside Discord. The two cannot drift apart, because there is only one list.

THE EIGHT GROUPS

  • Alerts for you, 13 commands. Your bars running low, a debuff landing, a battle turning, a new bounty, an auction you were watching. Direct messages, set up once.

  • Market and economy, 8. Prices, buy and sell signals with the reason behind each, a price alert that writes you the moment your line is crossed, and the daily report as a DM or in a channel.

  • Countries, units, influence, 3. Lookups on demand, answered in the chat.

  • Your own account, 4. Prove once that a WarEra account is yours, and the roles that follow it work on every server that runs this bot.

  • Daily reading, 7. The morning Digest in your channel or your inbox, the game results, and a translation for a post in a language you do not read.

  • Games, 2. The unikhorne games from inside Discord.

  • Roles and verification, 10. Offices, citizenship and units as Discord roles, kept current by the hour.

  • Server setup, 8. For admins: where the bot may post, which channel gets what, and who is allowed to change it.

THE GOVERNMENT ROLES

The one feature that needs the extra permission, and the one worth explaining before you switch it on.

Add the countries your server cares about, several if you host embassies, and the bot matches every Discord member against the WarEra players holding office there. Congress, ministers, the president: each gets the role of their office, and a role that does not exist yet is created.

Two decisions inside it are worth knowing.

The matching is strict. Discord names and WarEra accounts are nowhere verifiably linked, so the bot guesses, and a wrong guess would hand a stranger the president's role. It therefore matches only names that really correspond, and would rather hand out nothing than something wrong.

And it never strips a role because a reading failed. If a country's government cannot be read in a run, that country is left untouched instead of being treated as "nobody holds office there". A sync that empties your server because an API call timed out would be worse than no sync at all.

It re-runs every hour, so an election result reaches your roles by itself.

ONLY THE BOUNTIES THAT MATTER TO YOU

A bounty channel can be narrowed with /set-bounty-scope: every battle, only your country, your country and its allies, or the whole alliance with its allies. The bot reads alliances and allies from the game, so a new alliance changes the channel by itself. The idea comes from the Bounty Notify in PROST, a userscript by beertierchen.

SET UP ONCE

Nothing here has to be done twice. That is the whole design: you run a command once, and the bot keeps working without you being there.

DEUTSCH
