Economy players, pay attention! 💰
WarEra v0.27 has arrived, and it brings some of the biggest changes to the economy we've seen. Companies now use NPC employees, production mechanics have changed, and business owners have a whole new system to learn.
Whether you're already running several companies or just starting to build your wealth, here's what you need to know about the update.
1. Employees replace the old job system
Companies now use NPC employees instead of relying on the old player job system. Each employee has their own stats, personality traits, wages and happiness, all of which can affect production.
2. Train your employees
You can train employees to improve their stats, change their traits, lower their wages or improve their future training potential.
3. Random employee events
Employees can experience random events, such as getting a job offer or finding a stray cat. You choose how to respond, and your decisions can affect their happiness, stats and other bonuses.
4. Tools for employees
Employees can use special tools to increase production. The bonus depends on the tool's rarity, ranging from +3% for Common tools to +65% for Mythic tools.
5. Break Room upgrades
Each company starts with room for one employee. Upgrade the Break Room to accommodate two employees for 20 Steel, or three employees for 80 Steel.
6. New Leadership skill
Entrepreneurship has been removed, and the skill points invested in it are refunded. A new Leadership skill helps improve employee training and the chances of success during employee events.
7. Deposits and regional specialization removed
The old resource deposit and regional specialization systems no longer boost production. Strategic resources now generate daily income for the country that holds them.
8. Free company move
Every player receives one free company move, allowing them to relocate a company without paying the usual moving cost.
9. Two types of taxes
Income tax is deducted from employee wages, while manager tax is deducted from managers' pay. These taxes help generate income for countries.
10. Easier production switching
You can change what a company produces without emptying its storage first. This makes switching between products much easier.
11. Seven government types
Countries can choose from seven government types: Republic, Nationalist State, Homeland Front, Federation, Plutocracy, Autocracy and Mercenary State.
Each government has different advantages and disadvantages affecting income, military orders, alliances and other national systems.
12. Party ethics removed
The old party ethics system has been removed. Government type now determines the country's political and economic direction.
13. Parties lose resistance powers
Political parties can no longer start resistance movements. The developers have said that parties will receive further changes in future updates.
14. Polls in articles
You can add polls to your articles with 2 to 10 possible answers. Polls can remain open from one hour to seven days, and you can restrict voting by level or country.
15. Save articles
You can save articles and find them later in a new Saved tab.
16. Skill presets
You can save three different skill builds and switch between them when needed. Premium players can save up to ten builds.
17. Employee milestones
New milestones track your progress in areas such as employee production, training, events, toolboxes and employee care.
18. New missions
New missions involve training employees, resolving employee events and taking care of employees when working as a manager.
19. Pumpkin Head helmet
A special Pumpkin Head helmet is available until November 1.
20. Equip skin packs at once
You can equip an entire skin pack with one click instead of selecting every item individually.
21. Changes to cases
Wooden cases have been adjusted. Higher-rarity cases can contain more Production Points, and the chances of receiving different case rarities have changed.
22. Open more cases at once
Premium players can now open up to 50 cases at once instead of the previous limit of 10.
23. Better daily rewards
The seventh-day daily reward has increased from 35 to 50 money.
24. Pinned articles and battle viewers
Articles can now be pinned at the top of the News section, and battles display the number of people watching them live.
25. A bigger map
The world map has grown from 726 to 742 regions, with the Maldives added as a new country.
26. Regional income map
A new map mode lets you see the estimated daily income generated by different regions.
27. Improved battle visuals
Battles now feature improved terrain visuals and animated shots that become more noticeable as damage increases.
28. Better map information
Region upgrade levels and sea connections are easier to identify on the map.
29. Collect wooden cases in bulk
You can collect every wooden case in a region with a single click.
30. Rewards for helping MU members
Helping another Military Unit member now also rewards the person providing help with one health point.
31. Improved market offers
Each item in a market listing can have its own price. Similar offers are also displayed to help players compare prices before buying or selling.
32. Improved tutorial
The tutorial has been updated with new guides, more starting resources and menus that unlock gradually as you level up.
33. Earlier access to chat and trading
Chat becomes available at level 1, with posting limits for lower-level players. Trading becomes available at level 5 instead of level 7.
34. Other improvements and fixes
The update includes improvements to mobile chat scrolling, rearranging battle orders, opening cases and several other smaller issues.
With the old regional production bonuses gone, economy players need to rethink how they run their companies. Here are some practical steps to take.
Don't choose a product just because its selling price looks high.
Before producing anything, check:
How much the product sells for on the market.
How much you spend on materials.
How much your employees' wages cost.
Whether tools or training add enough production to justify their cost.
Your goal is to make more money selling the goods than you spend producing them.
More employees can mean more production, but they also mean higher wages.
Start with the employees you can comfortably afford. Check how much extra output each one provides, then compare that value with their wages.
If an employee costs more than the value they produce, you may be better off without them.
Happiness affects production, so don't ignore it.
Check your employees regularly, respond to their events and avoid letting your company run out of money for wages.
An employee who produces less because of low happiness can reduce your profits even when your company appears busy.
Tools can provide significant production bonuses, but expensive tools are not automatically good investments.
Before buying one, estimate how much extra production it will generate over time. Compare that value with the price of the tool.
A tool that costs more than the extra profit it generates is not worth buying.
Don't spend resources training every employee equally.
Prioritize employees who already contribute a lot to production or who have the potential to become more productive.
Before paying for training, check what the training improves and whether the expected benefit justifies the cost.
Buying more companies might look like the fastest way to become rich, but each additional company requires investment.
First, make sure your existing companies can cover their costs and generate profit. Then use some of those profits to expand.
This reduces the risk of owning several companies that constantly drain your money.
If you have a large inventory, compare current market offers before selling.
If prices are low and you don't urgently need cash, consider holding some stock. If prices are high and your profit margin is attractive, selling may be the better move.
Remember that holding stock also ties up money that could be used elsewhere, so don't hold everything indefinitely.
Your company needs money to pay wages. If it cannot afford an hour of wages, its employees won't work that hour.
Keep enough cash available to cover upcoming wages instead of spending every coin on new companies, tools or materials.
Keep a simple record for each company:
Money earned from selling goods.
Material costs.
Employee wages and taxes.
Training and tool costs.
Other expenses.
Subtract your costs from your revenue to see which companies are genuinely making money.
A company producing a large amount of goods is not necessarily your most profitable company.
Once you identify your most profitable companies, consider using part of their earnings to improve employees, purchase useful tools or expand production.
Avoid investing everything in one product. If its market price drops, your entire economy could suffer.
The bottom line: focus on profit per company, not just production volume. Keep wages affordable, invest in improvements that pay for themselves, and expand when your numbers support it.
WarEra v0.27 is a major change to how the game works, especially for business owners.
The biggest change is the employee system. Instead of relying on the old job market and regional production bonuses, players now need to manage employee quality, wages, happiness, training and tools.
The removal of deposits and regional specialization also means that some old company strategies may no longer be effective.
For anyone trying to become wealthy, this is a good time to learn the new mechanics, compare production costs with market prices and avoid spending money simply because a company looks productive.
