📉 Why I left my quarry without workers (and why I don’t regret it)
When I started playing WarEra, I thought the same as many others:
“A company with workers means progress.”
I opened a stone quarry, hired workers at the going market wage, and started producing.
On paper, everything looked fine.
But something was off: my money wasn’t growing.
🧮 The problem nobody really explains
Stone is a low-margin product.
Worker wages, on the other hand, are inflated by the labor market.
The result:
Constant production ✔
Fast sales ✔
Real profit ❌ (sometimes even losses)
This isn’t bad management.
It’s a bad combination.
💡 The hard decision
After doing the math, I made a decision that sounds wrong at first:
👉 I left my quarry without workers.
Not out of frustration.
Not out of anger.
But because it was the most rational choice.
🔁 What changed after that
Fixed costs: 0
Slower production, yes
But every coin earned is pure profit
More control over my money
Less stress watching the market
Meanwhile, I focused more on:
PvE
Missions
Drops
And actually learning how the game’s economy works
🧠 What I learned
Not every company is profitable at every stage
Having workers doesn’t always mean progress
Sometimes, stepping back is moving forward
Stone works as cash flow, not as a main business — at least in early game.
🎯 My advice for low-level players
If you’re below level 10 and feel like:
you’re working a lot
selling everything
but your money never really grows
It’s not you.
It’s the system.
Sometimes, playing simpler is playing smarter.
