Wooden Chest Opening Analysis: Hoard Them or Just Open Them?

Ever since Wooden Chests were released, there has always been one question floating around:

Do you hoard your wooden chests, or do you just open the damn things?

So, I decided to actually crunch the numbers and see what happens when you stop arguing about it and just look at the loot. I opened 113 Wooden Chests and calculated the selling value of everything I got.

Each Wooden Chest can be sold for 6.55, which means selling all 113 chests outright would have given: 113 × 6.55 = 740.15

The Loot Value Analysis :

Sell 113 chests: 740.15
Open 113 chests: 738.53
Difference: 1.62

That works out to only about 0.0143 per chest.

So yes, technically, selling the chests gave slightly more value in this test. But honestly...

🎰 Just Fu*king Open Them

The difference is so damn small that it hardly feels worth worrying about.

For all the gacha addicts out there, this is basically your excuse. 😭

Sure, hoarding and selling guarantees you 6.55 per chest. But opening them gives you the fun of seeing what RNG decides to throw at you.

You might get something great. You might get a pile of random crap. You might question all your life choices halfway through.

That's the fun.

The numbers say sell. My inner gacha addict says OPEN THEM.

At a difference this tiny, a little gamble and some dopamine isn't going to hurt.
