Your next congressman: Unqualified, but Enthusiastic!

Dear Belgians,

I have had a lot of fun in War Era, building my eco, going to war with Belgium and allies, writing articles, recruiting new Belgians on Reddit. There's one aspect of the game which I have kept a bit of a lid on, the political aspect.

Today, I want to announce my candidacy for congress.

What do I bring to the table?

• Experience: I have been in the game a while, I have seen and helped Belgium expand to all ends of the world.

• Fast voting: I'm regularly active in-game and on Discord, the current congress has done an amazing job on voting laws quickly, I plan to lead by example.

What do I stand for?

Recruitment:

Getting a steady flow of new players joining is important to remain a relevant power in this game. We already did a great job at that, top 10 in population for such a small country! We have to keep this going and look at other mediums than Reddit. We have to provide people with ways to make easy, quick and engaging posts that keep drawing attention to our subreddit.

Great ideas have already been provided: TikTok, paid ads, stickers, ... But none of these have really took off, it's time to change that!

PISS:

I'm a member of https://app.warera.io/party/69d66c1044093573e056dc6f, that must mean my only goal is to paint the country yellow right? Although I do believe that Belgium would look great in yellow, our party stands for more than just a color.

The PISS party stands for democracy and engagement with the citizens of Belgium. We believe everyone has the right to be included in important decision making, be it in the form of a discussion or a poll.

We are against government members putting their own interests ahead of those of the citizens. And we definitely are against government members putting vetoes against democratically made decisions.

An engaging government:

Seats in congress and government are limited. A lot of our citizens want to show the best of themselves, but not everyone gets the chance to do so. There have been occurrences where elected people did not keep their promises or are even completely invisible for most of their term.

Being elected is a privilege and an opportunity to do something for War Era Belgium. We have to be tougher against elected members disappearing after they get their role, by calling them out and impeaching them as an ultimate measure
